Weixin Zhang studied chemistry and chemical engineering in Hefei University of Technology and received a B.S. degree in 1990 and an M.S. degree in 1993. She received her Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry in 2000 from the University of Science and Technology of China. From May 2001 to December 2002, she worked as a Visiting Scholar in Professor Shihe Yang’s group at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. From November 2009 to April 2010, she visited Professor Stephen Mann’s group at Bristol University. Furthermore, she has been a faculty Member in Hefei University of Technology, China, since 1993 and became a Full Professor in 2000. Her research interests include controlled synthesis of ordered nanostructured arrays and advanced inorganic functional materials and exploration of their potential applications in energy conversion, environmental protection, and micro/nanodevices.
