Thibault Moreau has been a Professor of neurology at the University of Burgundy since 8 years. He created the Clinique Bourguignonne de Sclérose en Plaques (Burgundy MS Clinic) which treats more than 1500 MS patients. After a long training in the Neurology Department of Lyon (under the supervision of Professor Christian Confavreux), he spent two years in Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge (with the Professor Alastair Compston). His main interests concern clinical research and therapeutical trials. He has actively participated to studies using the European Database of Multiple Sclerosis (EDMUS) to investigate the natural history of MS, the effects of pregnancy on MS (PRIMS), and paediatric MS; the results of which have been published in the leading journals. He was the first to treat MS patients with CAMPATH-1H (alemtuzumab) in 1998, published in Lancet in Cambridge. Moreau is a Vice President of the Medical Scientific Committee of the Association pour la Recherche sur la Sclérose en Plaques (ARSEP).
