Ioannis E. Anagnostopoulos
Ioannis E. Anagnostopoulos was born on 24 January 1975 in Athens. In 1998, he received his diploma in the field of electrical and computer engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology at the University of Patras. In February 2001, he was accepted as a Ph.D. degree candidate in the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the national Technical University of Athens. He has worked as an Assistant Researcher in the Laboratory of Multimedia Technology and the Laboratory of Communications. Dr. Ioannis Anagnostopoulos received his Ph.D. degree in the field of internet information management and communications in February of 2004. Currently, he is with the University of the Aegean as a Lecturer, at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering. He is also a Member and a Researcher in the Computer and Communication Systems Laboratory (CCSL) of the same department. This research laboratory focuses on research and development in the areas of computer networks, broadband and wireless communications, internet/web services and technologies, network management and multimedia communications. His research interests include internet technologies and services, web search and retrieval software methodologies, E-commerce, telecommunication networks and intelligent multimedia systems. Until now he participated in nine European and national research Programs and research frameworks. As far as his teaching activity is concerned, Dr. Ioannis Anagnostopoulos teaches internet communications, internet/web programming, computer networks, and multimedia systems. Dr Anagnostopoulos Ioannis is a full Member in the Technical Chamber of Greece, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, The Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the Association for Computing Machinery. He has more than 70 articles published in international journals, book series and international conferences. He also participated in more than 10 European and National funded Research Projects. He speaks English and French fluently.
