Aaron Danner is from the USA and is currently with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to his appointment at the NUS, he was employed at Agilent (now Avago) Technologies, where his research projects included efficient LED surface structures and development of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs). Prior to joining Avago, he was a Visiting Member of the Microsystem Research Center at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2004, where he investigated high speed characteristics of VCSELs. Danner received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, Mo, USA, and completed his graduate studies in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
