Vinod Chandran

Vinod Chandran received the B.Tech. degree
in electrical engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Madras, India,
in 1982, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering
from Texas Tech University, Lubbock,
Texas, USA, in 1985, and the Ph.D.
degree in electrical and computer engineering
and the M.S. degree in computer science
from Washington State University, Pullman,
Washington, USA, in 1990 and 1991, respectively.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Queensland University
of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, in the School of Electrical
and Electronic Systems Engineering. He is a member of the
Research Concentration in Speech, Audio, and Video Technology.
His research interests include pattern recognition, high-order spectral
analysis, speech processing, image processing, audio and video
coding, and content-based retrieval. Dr. Chandran is a member of
the IEEE and ACM, and a member of Tau Beta Pi and Phi Kappa
Phi.
