Guido Barbagli

Guido Barbagli – Curriculum Vitae Guido Vincenzo Silvio Barbagli was born on January 22, 1950 in Pieve Santo Stefano, Arezzo, Italy. In 1968, he graduated from a Classical Studies High School. He attended Medical School and discussed his thesis in 1978. In October 1982, he obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Urology from the Urology Postgraduate Department of the University of Florence, Italy, receiving the highest marks in his class cum laude. Currently, Dr. Barbagli is the Director of The Center for Reconstructive Urethral Surgery, which he founded in 1999 in Arezzo, Italy. Scientific activity Scientific articles: 109 publications edited and printed in international scientific journals. Books: five books on Reconstructive Urethral Surgery. Chapters in books: five chapters on books on Reconstructive Urethral Surgery. Dr. Barbagli is active member of numerous scientific societies. Currently, Dr. Barbagli acts as a referee for international scientific journals. Dr. Barbagli has been a participant and invited keynote speaker to numerous International Congresses. Dr. Barbagli was the President of "THE SOCIETY OF GENITOURINARY RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGEONS (GURS)”, for the period 2008 - 2009. Teaching experience Dr. Barbagli was Professor at the Postgraduate School of Urology - Department of Urology - University of Pisa, Italy, from 1988 to 1990 and from 1998 to 2000. Dr. Barbagli was Professor at the Postgraduate School of Urology – Department of Urology - University of Florence, Italy, from 1987 to 1998. Currently, Dr. Barbagli is a limited-term Professor at the Postgraduate School of Urology – Department of Urology - University Vita Salute-San Raffaele, Milan, Italy.
