Kolio Troev

Kolio Dimov Troev was born in Rupkite, district Chirpan, Bulgaria, 1944. He received his doctorate in the field of organophosphorus chemistry in 1974 from the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 1985 he received the scientific degree “Doctor of Science” . In 1988 he became Professor of Chemistry at the same Institute. Since 1989 he is a head of laboratory “Phosphorus-containing monomers and polymers”. His research interests are the areas of organophosphorus chemistry, phosphorus-containing polymers. He is a author of more than 136 papers and two books; “Chemistry and Application of H-phosphonates” and “Polyphosphoesters:Chemistry and Application”published by Elsevier 2006 and 2012. He has specialized in USA (Marquette University, Tulane University), Japan (Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Tokyo, Tohoku University, Tokyo University of Science), Germany (Duesseldorf University). He is a visiting Professor in Tokyo University of Science- 2009; 2010; 2011; 2012. Form 2003 to February 2012 he was a director of the Institute of Polymers, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
