Frederic J. Doucet

Dr Frederic Doucet is a Chief Scientist in Applied Mineralogy and Industrial Chemistry at the Council for Geoscience of South Africa, Pretoria. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from Keele University (UK), an MSc in Geology from The Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (France), and a Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institut Superieur Industrial du Hainaut (Belgium). His R&D interests include developing industrial processes for the recycling/reuse of industrial solid wastes. He is also managing projects on the geological and industrial sequestration of CO2. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers, conference proceedings, and commissioned reports. He is a Fellow of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
