Stephane Burguburu graduated from the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon, France, in 1995. He first joined GE Oil and Gas as a Design Engineer at the Centrifugal Compressor Department. After 4 years, he moved to aerospace field by joining Onera at the Applied Aerodynamics Department. His first activities focused on the aerodynamic optimization of transonic compressors and fans, and he actively participated to national and European projects like TurbonoiseCFD or AIDA. In parallel, he developed skills in aeroacoustics and massive computations to predict unsteady pressure sources of counter rotating open rotors. He is now the Scientific Coordinator of the turbomachinery activity at the Applied Aerodynamics Department and is also the focal point for high bypass ratio fans.
