Rongbo Zhu

Rongbo Zhu works currently as an Associate Professor in College of Computer Science of South-Central University for Nationalities. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronic and information engineering from Wuhan University of Technology, China, in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in communication and information systems from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2006. He has published over 50 papers in international journals and conferences in the areas of mobile computing, wireless communications, 3G mobile systems and beyond, MAC and routing protocols, wireless ad hoc, sensor, and mesh networks. He received the outstanding B.S. thesis and M.S. thesis awards from Wuhan University of Technology in 2000 and 2003, respectively. Furthermore, his current research interests are in the areas of mobile computing, wireless communications, protocol design, and optimization. Zhu works as an Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Satellite Communications Policy and Management, an Associate Editor of International Journal of Radio Frequency Identification Technology and Applications, an Associate Editor of International Journal of Web Science, a Guest Editor of Future Generation Computer Systems, Telecommunication Systems, Journal of Computers, Journal of Networks, and as a Reviewer for numerous referred journals such as Springer/ACM Mobile Networks and Applications, IET Communications, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, and Journal of Communications and Networks. He has been actively involved in around 10 international conferences, serving as General Cochair of ICICA’2010, TPC Chair of SMIS’2010, and a Reviewer for many international conferences such as Globecom’10, IEEE Globecom’08, IEEE ICC’07, IEEE ICNC'07-FSKD'07, and IET CCWMSN’07.
