Antonio Gómez-Corral
Antonio Gómez-Corral is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. After finishing his Ph.D. degree (with honors) at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research in 1996, he has held visiting positions at the Technical University of Lisbon and at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour. He has active collaborations with researchers from several countries including France, Greece, India, Portugal, Russia, and USA. He is the coauthor of the book entitled Retrial Queueing Systems: A Computational Approach, 2008. He also published more than forty journal and proceedings papers. Additionally, he has also served as a Technical Program Chairman and a member of the technical program and organizing committees of several international conferences and workshops on queuing theory. His professional experience and interests are in the general areas of communication systems and networks, and their interaction with retrial queuing models and structured Markov chains.
