Panagiotis Nastos holds a Ph.D. degree. He is the Director of the Laboratory of Climatology and Atmospheric Environment, Department of Geography and Climatology, Faculty of Geology and Geoenvironment, University of Athens. He has fifteen years of research experience in climatic change, bioclimatology, atmospheric environment and human health, and acid rain-air pollution. He is a supervisor in a significant number of postgraduate (more than 10) and undergraduate (more than 50) dissertations and has teaching experience on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the scientific subjects of climatology and atmospheric environment. He is a project manager/senior researcher in 3 joint research and technology programs (between Greece and Germany, Cyprus, Turkey) and a researcher in 4 European and 19 national research projects. He is a reviewer in 28 international journals and an invited speaker at workshops, seminars, and workshops concerning climate variability in the Mediterranean and impacts of climatic change on human health. Moreover, he participated in more than one hundred international and national conferences. His published work exceeds 250 scientific papers, of which 81 in international scientific journals and the other in international, national conference and published books.
