Eder Zucconi received a B.S. degree in genetics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil (2003) and a Ph.D. degree in human genetics from the Institute of Bioscience, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (2009). Zucconi is a Postdoc at the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich, USA (2010). Zucconi has experience in genetics, focusing on human and medical genetics, acting on the following subjects: stem cells and muscular dystrophies. Furthermore, Zucconi has 8 years of experience in stem cell research, mainly in evaluating the therapeutic potential of hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord. Until now, Zucconi published 19 articles (12 related to stem cells). Zucconi is a Member of International Society of Stem Cell Research (ISSCR).
