Stefano Cagnoni

Stefano Cagnoni has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Parma from 1997 to 2004, before becoming an Associate Professor in the same university. He received the Ph.D. degree in bioengineering in 1993. In 1994, he was a Visiting Scientist at the Whitaker College Biomedical Imaging and Computation Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His main research interests are in computer vision, evolutionary computation, and robotics. He has chaired the Workshop on Evolutionary Computation in Image Analysis and Signal Processing (EvoIASP), since its first edition in 1999. He is a reviewer for several journals and a programme committee member of several international events.
