Lukas Schmidt-Mende

User Biography : Prof Lukas Schmidt-Mende Professor Lukas Schmidt-Mende studies phyics at RWTH Aachen and Universität Heidelberg, Germany. Afterwards he spend 3.5 years at the Dept. of physics at the University of Cambridge, UK to perform his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Sir Richard Friend. He then joined the group of Prof. Michael Grätzels at the EPF Lausanne, Switzerland. Later he went to the Material Science Dept. in Cambridge for a Marie-Curie fellowship, followed by a Royal Society University Research Fellow. As assistant professor he stayed four years at the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (LMU), before he took up in 2011 his current position at the University of Konstanz.
