Innocenzo G. Casella
Innocenzo G. Casella was born in Potenza (Italy) in October 26, 1959. He obtained his first degree in chemistry from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy (1984). Casella worked as a Full Professor of analytical chemistry at the Department of Science (degree in pharmacy), University of Basilicata (Potenza), Italy, and as a teacher of analytical chemistry, instrumental methods in analytical chemistry, and analytical methodologies in environmental contexts. His main fields of scientific interest are electrodeposition of transition metals and their alloys on traditional electrode substrates, electrochemical characterization of redox mediators towards the electrocatalytic oxidation e/o reduction of electroactive molecules, and preparation and characterization of chemically modified electrodes as amperometric sensors in flow injection analysis and liquid chromatography of electroactive molecules in various real matrices such as foods, beverages, and biological samples.
