Youqing Wang

Youqing Wang received his B.S. degree in mathematics from Shandong University, Jinan, Shandong, China, in 2003, and received his Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2008. He worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, from February 2006 to August 2007. From February 2008 to February 2010, he worked as a Senior Investigator in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara, calif, USA. Since March 2008, he has been an Adjunct Senior Investigator in Sansum Diabetes Research Institute. Currently, he is a Full Professor in Beijing University of Chemical Technology. His research interests are modeling and control of biomedical process (e.g., artificial pancreatic beta cell), batch process, iterative learning control, model predictive control, and fault-tolerant control. Professor Wang is a Member of several academic communities, for example, IEEE, AIChE, Sigma Xi, and ADA. He is the recipient of several research awards (including Excellent Ph.D. Thesis from Tsinghua University, Jiang-Zhen Scholarship and Outstanding Graduate Thesis from Shandong University). He worked as Session Chair or Cochair for several international conferences.
