Michael Rafii serves as the Director of the Memory Disorders Clinic at UC San Diego Perlman Ambulatory Care Center in La Jolla and as an Assistant Professor of neurosciences at the University of California, San Diego, Calif, USA. He works also as an Associate Medical Director of the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study and Attending Neurologist at the Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. He specializes in cognitive disorders, including dementias, such as Alzheimer's disease. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Brown University and conducted neurogenetics research at Harvard Medical School. He went on to complete his neurology residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was chief resident and fellowship in Dementia and Cognitive Disorders at the University of California, San Diego, Calif, USA.
