Anne N. Åstrøm
Anne N. ÅstrØm serves as a Professor of odontology at the Department of clinical dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Bergen, UoB. Her research has focused on determinants of health behaviour, oral epidemiology, and oral health-related quality of life. ÅstrØm has a long-standing cooperation regarding research and competence building with University of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences in Tanzania, Makerere University in Uganda, and Limpopo University of South Africa. She is a Coordinator of the research program Oral health in a global perspective and a coresearcher of EU- and NUFU-funded projects conducted in east and South Africa. She has served as a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology. Currently, she is a Coordinator for the Committee for Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Institute of Clinical Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, a Leader of the research group entitled Patient- and Community-based Clinical Dental Research, and a Member of the Council for Tobacco Control Policy, the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
