Jeroen A.S. Witteveen

Stanford University, USA 0000-0002-7459-0774

Jeroen Witteveen obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computational aerodynamics and aerospace engineering with honors from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Delft, The Netherlands. He is currently affiliated with the Uncertainty Quantification Laboratory of the Center for Turbulence Research (CTR) at Stanford University. His research interests include efficient and robust numerical methods for computational fluid dynamics and fluid-structure interaction. He made his main contributions in the fields of computer algorithms for uncertainty quantification, stochastic methods for high-performance computing, front tracking of hyperbolic conservation laws, and mesh deformation in aeroelastic simulations. Witteveen is a Member of the Activity Group on Uncertainty Quantification of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and Guest Member of the Non-Deterministic Approaches Technical Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He is the author of numerous journal articles and conference papers, and he is a recipient of several awards and fellowships. He serves as an editor on the editorial boards of the open-access journals of Mathematical Problems in Engineering and the Aerospace Engineering section of The Scientific World Journal.
