Claire M. Brett

Claire M. Brett attended the University of Miami School of Medicine (1972–1976) and then completed a postmedical training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF): pediatrics internship/residency (1976–1979), neonatology fellowship (1979-1980; 1982-1983), anesthesiology residency (1980–1982). In 1983, she joined the faculty of the Departments of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics, UCSF, where she is currently a Pediatric Anesthesiologist. Outside of her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Brett is active in Graduate Medical Education at UCSF (Vice Chair, Graduate Medical Education Committee). She supervises the clinical investigations of the Pharmacogenetics of Membrane Transporters project in the Laboratory of Kathleen Giacomini, Ph.D. Chair of the Department of Biopharmaceutical Sciences, UCSF.
