Shoji Mano

Shoji Mano received his D.S. degree in 1997. Since 1999, he has served as an Assistant Professor at National Institute for Basic Biology (NIBB), Okazaki, Japan. His research fields include plant molecular biology, plant physiology, cell biology, and imaging analysis. His specific research focus is on the molecular mechanisms that regulate peroxisome biogenesis and functions. More recently, his work focuses on organelles dynamics in the reproductive process. In addition, Mano belongs to the management committee of the Plant Organelles Database 2 (PODB2) in NIBB, which is dedicated to plant organelles research.
