Eva Zavodna

Eva Zavodna holds an M.U.D.R. degree (equivalent to M.D. degree) (1994–2000) from the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic, and a Ph.D. degree (2007) in normal and pathological physiology, with a thesis entitled “Physiological and pathophysiological changes of baroreflex sensitivity in men.” Zavodna works as a Senior Researcher at St. Anne’s University Hospital, International Clinical Research Center, Brno, Czech Republic, since 2012. She is a Member of the Czech Physiological Society and the Czech Medical Society of J. E. Purkynje since 2001 and a Member of the Czech Medical Chamber since 2002. Her research work focuses on the short-term blood pressure regulation under the physiological (development and exercise) and pathophysiological (hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and neurotoxicity of oncology therapy) conditions especially in children and adolescents. In recent years, the research is also orientated towards the study of vascular compliance and development of new devices.
