Ana I. Haza
Ana I. Haza was born in Miranda de Ebro, Burgos, Spain, in 1966. She received the Veterinary degree and the Ph.D. degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, in 1989 and 1995, respectively. From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Haza was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Medical Nutrition, Karolinska Institute, in Sweden. She has published more than 30 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and two book chapters. Dr. Ana I. Haza is serving as a reviewer for a number of prestigious scientific journals. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Food Science, Technology and Nutrition, at the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Haza´s main research interest focuses on investigate the impact of dietary constituents (carcinogens and phytochemicals) on cellular response (citotoxicity, genotoxicity and apoptosis) and its relationship with human health (cancer).
