Eugene Donskoi graduated with an M.S. degree in physics and engineering from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) (Moscow, Russia) and with a Ph.D. degree in coal based direct reduction of iron ores from Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, QLD, Australia). He has more than 25 years of experience in experimental physics and mathematical modeling and optimization which include 15 years of work on mineral processing and characterization. Currently Donskoi works as a Project Leader in CSIRO Process Science and Engineering Division and his main activities include optical image analysis of iron ore and other commodities like manganese ore, coal, and coke; mineral characterization; and prediction of downstream processing and direct reduction.
