I have completed 6years in the Department of Surgery at University of Kentucky . I strive to maintain a balance between clinical practice, teaching students and residents, working on research projects and participating in administrative activities. As a surgeon I am personally responsible for the patient's welfare throughout the perioperative period. My overriding goal is the assurance of patient safety and to provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective. I maintain a clinical practice at the University of Kentucky and I also have an appointment at the VA medical Center where I serve as the Section Chief of Vascular Surgery. What I do day to day is to diagnose and manage patients with vascular disease. I educate students, residents and fellows in new science, surgical techniques, and practice related to my field. As a Medical Director of the non-invasive vascular laboratory at Chandler Hospital I assure the provision of quality patient care services. I evaluate studies performed in the Vascular Laboratory and perform quality control by correlating studies with angiograms.
