Marco Radi graduated cum Laude in medicinal chemistry at the School of Pharmacy of the University of Siena (2000) where he also received his Ph.D. degree (2004). He then joined the Drug Discovery Group of Professor C.K. Chu at the University of Georgia (USA) as Postdoctoral Research Associate (2005-2006). From 2006 to 2010, he was Postdoc at the University of Siena where he also got an untenured Assistant Professorship (2010-2011). In December 2011, he moved to the University of Parma as permanent Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy. In January 2014, Dr. Radi received the National Scientific Qualification for the role of Associate Professor and, since October 2014, he is Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Parma. Professor Radi is currently member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Chemistry, MC member of the COST Action CM1207 “GLISTEN,” and Erasmus Delegate for the Department of Pharmacy. His research interests are in the field of antiviral and anticancer drug discovery, with particular attention at the development of novel combinatorial methodologies to quickly produce highly functionalized chemical probes. He has authored more than 65 paper and patents in these fields.
