Mokshay Madiman

Mokshay Madiman received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics from Brown University, Providence, RI, in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He spent the summer of 1998 as a Research Intern at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, India, and the summer of 2000 as an intern with Corning Inc., NY. He joined the Department of Statistics at Yale University, New Haven, CT, in July 2005, as a Gibbs Assistant Professor. Since July 2006, he has been an Assistant Professor in the same department. For the period of January to May 2007, he was a Visiting Fellow in the School of Technology and Computer Science at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India. Dr. Madiman's research interests span information theory, discrete mathematics, theoretical and applied probability, and statistical inference.
