Gongnan Xie

Gongnan Xie was born on October 11, 1980. He graduated with a B.S. degree in thermal and power engineering at Guangdong Ocean University, Zhanjiang, China in 2002 and received his Ph.D. degree in power engineering and engineering thermodynamics at Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China in 2007. From January 2008 to October 2009, he conducted postdoctoral research at Lund University, Lund, Sweden and coworked with Professor Bengt Sunden. Since December 2009, Dr. Xie serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China. His research interests include heat transfer, fluid flow, thermomechanical analysis, gas turbine, heat exchanger, heat transfer enhancement, electronic cooling, thermal protection, and design optimization. Dr. Xie is a member of the editorial committee of several international journals and generally reviews more than 20 manuscripts per year for international journals.
