Yuichi Hattori

Yuichi Hattori was born in Akita, Japan, in 1953. He received his M.D. degree from Hokkaido University, where he received the Ph.D. degree in 1982. From 1982 to 1984, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow of Cornell University Medical College. After serving as an Associate Professor of Hokkaido University School of Medicine, he works presently as a Professor of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, Graduate School of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Toyama. In 1993, he was awarded a Yamashita Taro Kensho Ikueikai Proze for Science. His expertise lies in cardiovascular pharmacology, inflammatory and immunopharmacology, and diabetology. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. He serves also as an Editorial Board Member of the European Journal of Pharmacology.
