Irena Rachůnková serves as a Professor at the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Applications of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science at the Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. She studied at the Faculty of Science at the same university, from 1965 to 1970. She obtained an M.S. degree in 1970, RNDr. degree in 1970, and C.S. degree in 1976 all from the Palacký University in Olomouc. She got Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic in Prague, 1995. She served as an Assistant Professor in 1973, an Associate Professor in 1985, and a Full Professor in 1997 all in the UP, Olomouc. She acted as a Supervisor for postgraduate studies for 5 Ph.D. students during the last five years. Her research interests include ordinary differential equations, difference equations, and dynamical systems.
