Yonathan Hasin, M.D., is the Director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Boruch Padeh Medical Center, Tiberias, Israel. He is a graduate of the Medical School of Hebrew University and Hadassah Hospital and did his residency and fellowship at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. He was the Director of Cardiac Care Unit at Hadassah and Professor of Medicine at Hebrew University before his current position. Dr. Hasin is now a Professor of medicine at the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel. He has held numerous professional positions including the Founding Chairman of the Acute Cardiac Care working group of the Israel Heart Society and the European Heart Society. He also has many basic research interests and served as the Chairman of the Council of Basic Research of the Israel Heart Society and as the Cluster Head on Cardiac Function of the European Heart Society.
