Ugo Vaccaro

Ugo Vaccaro received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in computer science from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 1981. Since 1994, he serves as a Professor of computer science at the Computer Science Department of the University of Salerno. He has been working as a Visiting Scientist at the Coordinated Science Laboratory of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (1985–1986), as a Visiting Professor at the University of Nice, France, at the University of Bielefeld, Bielefeld, Germany, at ICSI (Berkeley, Calif, USA), and at INRIA, Sophia-Antipolis, France. He is mainly interested in group testing, applied graph theory, and information theoretic methods in combinatorics and theoretical computer science.
