Yu-wei Hsieh was born in Changhwa, Taiwan in 1979. She received both her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in occupational therapy from the National Taiwan University in 2005 and 2011. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at School of Occupational Therapy, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. Her research interests include the areas of stroke neurorehabilitation, comparative efficacy research, clinimetric study, and occupational therapy for neurological disorders. Her clinical focus is in adults with neurological dysfunction and the elderly in acute rehabilitation, outpatient, and community rehabilitation settings. She is an Honorary Member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of the Republic of China during 2009–2011. She also received the “Best Graduate Student Paper Award” from College of Medicine, National Taiwan University in 2007 and 2009.
