Sofia Borrego

Sofia Borrego received the B.A. degree in microbiology from the Faculty of Biology, Havana University, Havana, Cuba, in 1985. Borrego works as Professor of biological sciences, Research Assistant, and Head of the Laboratory of Preventive Conservation. She is specialist in preventive conservation of documentary heritage and biodeterioration of cultural heritage and risk management for the preservation of documentary heritage against disasters. She also works on the microbiological quality of indoor environments in archives.
