Katia Cailliau

Katia Cailliau was born in Nice, France, in 1966. She received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in 1992 in cellular biology. In 1993, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow from the Philippe Foundation at the Kansas Medical Center, Kan, USA. In 1994 and in 1995, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow, respectively, from the “Institut Electricité Santé de France” and from the "Société de Secours de l’Académie des Sciences” at the CNRS Institute in Meudon, France. Since 1996, she has been a Lecturer at the Université Lille 1, Sciences et Technologies in the Laboratoire de Régulation des Signaux de Division, EA 4479, IFR 14759. She is interested in signaling pathways initiated by receptor tyrosine kinase; the cascades are investigated in the model system of Xenopus laevis oocytes.
