Yasuhiro Matsumoto

Yasuhiro Matsumoto serves as a Professor of solid state electronics, Electrical Engineering Department, CINVESTAV (Center of Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute), Mexico City. He graduated as an Engineer in communication and electronics from the National Polytechnic Institute, México City (1982). He earned his M.A. degree from the Electrical Engineering Department, CINVESTAV-IPN (1984) and the Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering Department, Osaka University, Japan (1990). Since 1985, has been working on photovoltaic solar cell production improvement using silicon solar cell at a pilot plant line. Most of the activities are related to Heterojunction amorphous silicon, multi-crystalline-silicon-based tandem type solar cells, and amorphous silicon solar cells as well as photovoltaic system applications.
