Riccardo Santoni

Riccardo Santoni received a degree in medicine and surgery (1974) from University of Firenze, Florence, Italy. Santorni was a Radiation Oncologist (1978) at University of Firenze. From 1979 to 1983, he was Radiation Therapy Researcher, University and Hospital Department of Radiation Therapy, University of Firenze. From June 1983 to December 1994, he was Research Fellow at Massachussets General Hospital and Harvard University, Boston, USA. From January 1995 to October 2000, he was an Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Firenze, Italy. From November 2000 to date, he is a Professor at Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. His teaching activities include tumor imaging and treatment techniques in radiation therapy, Postgraduate Medical School in Radiation Therapy, University of Firenze. Santoni’s main topics of research include conformal radiation therapy and hydrotherapy- SNC Tumors, tissue characterization with MRI and evaluation of late effects of RT, computers in radiation therapy, computerized clinical records, tumors of the gastrointestinal apparatus, gynaecologic tumors, and pediatric tumors
