Antonio M. De Ron

Antonio M. De Ron is a Research Professor at the Mision Biologica de Galicia (Pontevedra, Spain) of the National Spanish Research Council (CSIC). He has a Ph.D. degree in biology at the University of Santiago of Compostela (Spain) and served as a Part-Time Lecturer of genetics and breeding in this university for some years. Currently, De Ron is a Part-Time Lecturer of biology at the National Open University (UNED). His fields of research are plant genetic resources, genetics, breeding, and evolution of legume crops, mainly Phaseolus (beans). He is currently a Member of the Coordinating Committee of the Bean Improvement Cooperative (USA) and the President of the Spanish Association for Legume (AEL). He has been serving as an ad hoc reviewer for several international journals and scientific agencies.
