Raul S. Lavado

Raul Silvio Lavado graduated from the College of Agronomy, University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1968. He studied in Spain, Canada, and the USA. He is a Researcher of the National Research Council of Argentina (CONICET) and also is a Consult Professor at the College of Agronomy, University of Buenos Aires. He is the Director of the Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Biosciences Research (INBA). He has published more than 100 papers in international journals and more than 60 in local ones and several chapters of books of international publishers and local ones. Across the time, his main interests were changing, and he has conducted research in soil chemistry, soil physics soil plant relationship, and soil and crop management. At present times, he is studying biotic and abiotic effects on crops, soils, and waters. He attended congresses and workshops on several countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Holland, Mexico, Venezuela, and the USA. He was a creator and the first Director of the Argentinean journal Ciencia del Suelo, an associate editor of two international journals, and a reviewer of several others.
