John J. Tanner
John J. Tanner received his B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1983, and his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Brown University in 1988. He did postdoctoral research with Professor J. A. McCammon in computational biology and Professor K. L. Krause in protein crystallography. He became an Assistant Professor at his Alma Mater in 1997. His current position is a Professor of chemistry and biochemistry. His research interests include proline metabolism, UDP-galactopyranose mutases, and acid phosphatases.
