Ismail Avcibas

Ismail Avcibas was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1967. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronics engineering from Uludag University, Bursa, Turkey, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2001. Currently, he works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Turgut Ozal University, Ankara, Turkey. He served with the Electronics Engineering Department of Uludag University as an Assistant Professor in 2001-2007. In addition, he worked with the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Baskent University as an Associate Professor in 2007-2011. His research interests include data compression, steganography and steganalysis, multimedia forensics, and multimedia communications and security.
