Tarem Ahmed graduated with Summa Cum Laude degree from Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT, USA, with a double major in physics and economics. Subsequently, he obtained M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA, and a Doctorate degree in computer science from the International Islamic University Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia. After working in industrial product development in the Silicon Valley area of CA, USA, and in academic research at McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, and ETH Zurich, Switzerland, he is currently affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at BRAC University in his native city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His field of interest spans in network security, anomaly detection, and learning networks. He has published in most of the major IEEE ComSoc conferences like INFOCOM, GLOBECOM, ICC, and so on.
