Sujit Kumar Samanta is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Science and Technology, Berhampur, India. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from the Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, India, in 1998 and 2000, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. degree at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, in 2006. He was a Senior Lecturer at School of Computer Applications, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University, Bhubaneswar, India. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, ON, Canada. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Avignon, France. From 2010 to 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. His research interests include queueing theory, discrete and continuous times, inventory systems, supply chain management, and service systems.
