Alain Frigon, Ph.D. completed his doctoral work at the Université de Montréal in 2008 in the Department of Physiology. His graduate and postdoctoral work has focused on elucidating changes in spinal circuits following injury to the spinal cord and/or to peripheral nerves at rest and during locomotion. In 2011 he joined the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the Université de Sherbrooke. His current work focuses on understanding the neuromechanical control of locomotion, particularly the coordination between the limbs, in the intact state and following various types of central and peripheral injuries. His areas of expertise include spinal cord neurophysiology, biomechanics, and anatomy. Dr. Frigon is a regular manuscript referee for several journals including the Journal of Neurophysiology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Experimental Neurology.
