Antonio Marchini serves as a Principal Investigator at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Department of Tumor Virology, in the development of innovative cancer-viral therapies. He is also a Postdoc Scientist at the University of Heidelberg at the Institute of Human Genetics. He obtained a Ph.D. degree from the German Cancer Research Center. The thesis was entitled “Identification of New Cellular Targets for Human Papillomavirus Type 16 E7 Oncoprotein”. His major interests are oncolytic virotherapy, oncolytic viruses, parvoviruses, and virus-mediated cell killing.
