Mehmet Sezer was born on March 20th 1954 in Antalya, Turkey. He received his B.S. degree from the Department of Mathematics, Ege University, Izmir, Turkey, in 1976 and was Research Assistant at Balikesir Engineering Academy, Balikesir, Turkey. His M.S. degree was obtained from Ege University in 1977. He received his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Dr.Süeda Morali in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Ege University, in 1982 and studied the field of parabolic partial differential equations. In 1982, he was an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Education (Balikesir) of Uludag University, Associate Professor in 1989, and a Professor at Faculty of Education of Dokuz Eylül University, in 1995. In the years 2004-2012 , he was Mathematics Professor at Faculty of Science at Muğla University and the Chair in the same department. Since September 2012, he has been a Professor of applied mathematics at Faculty of Science at Celal Bayar University. His main research interests are ordinary and partial differential equations, integral and difference equations , and their numerical solutions. Sezer has been a reviewer for numerous influential journals, has published research articles related to differential and integral equations, difference equations, and differential geometry and calculus; and has authored over 80 papers.
