Hongwei Zhang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer engineering from Chongqing University, China, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor of computer science at Wayne State University, USA. His primary research interests lie in the modeling, algorithmic, and systems issues in wireless sensing and control networks as well as their applications in connected and automated vehicles, smart energy grid, industrial automation, and cyber-physical systems in general. His research has been an integral part of several NSF and DARPA programs such as the NSF CPS, NSF GENI, and DARPA NEST program. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award.
