Walter Wong received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the Campinas State University (UNICAMP), Campinas, SP, Brazil, in 2005, 2007, and 2011, respectively. Between 2009 and 2010, he was engaged in predoctoral research activities working at Ericsson Research Nomadic Laboratory and Helsinki Institute of Information Technology (HIIT), where he spent one year as a Visiting Researcher. Since 2011, he has been working as a Research Scientist at Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento em Telecomunicações (Center of Research and Development on Telecommunications) in Brazil, developing solutions on next-generation networks (NGNs) for the telecom industry. He also works as a Research Scientist in the Future Internet Research group at UNICAMP. His current research interests include next-generation networks, clean slate Internet architectures, and network and security protocols.
