National Institute for Materials Science, Japan 0000-0003-2051-3711

Vaishali R. Shinde has worked as an ICYS Researcher at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Department of Physics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India. She has worked on metal oxide nanostructures by electrochemical and chemical methods and their use in supercapacitor, photoelectrochemical cell, electrochromism, and dye- and quantum-dot-sensitized solar cell. During her postdoctoral research in Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) and Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Republic of Korea, she worked on topotactic cation exchange reaction for conversion of solid nanostructures to hollow structures. She has been a recipient of Research Grant Award from JSPS Japan to perform Independent research under Grant-in-Aid for Young Scientists (from 2009 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2013).
